PW Junior Football offers flag football for students attending Pewamo-Westphalia Public Schools, Westphalia St Mary’s, and Pewamo St Joe’s in grades 2-5. There are two separate flag leagues, a 2nd and 3rd grade league and a 4th and 5th grade league. Registration is held in May for the following season. Practices start late August, generally around the time kids return to school. Games are held at the St Mary playground and Droste Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights in September.


League Philosophy
This program exists to serve the needs of our youth. All involved should be allowed to participate on an equal basis in a low competitive atmosphere. The primary focus should be on individual development, fundamentals and teamwork. The main emphasis is on having fun, involving the family, and developing a positive self-image. Good sportsmanship is expected at all times from the players, coaches, and parents. The goal of the league is to maintain participation levels from year to year. We hope each athlete will want to play the following year based on the positive experience they had the previous year.
